How to delete your account and all associated data
Option 1: Delete from inside the app (instant)
The fastest way is directly from the app:
- Open Word 'em Up on your device
- Go to Settings (gear icon)
- Scroll down and tap Delete Account
- Confirm your identity (re-authenticate)
- Your account and all data will be deleted immediately
Option 2: Request deletion by email
If you can't access the app (uninstalled, device lost, etc.), you can request deletion by email:
Send an email to:
Subject: Word 'em Up — Account Deletion Request
Include in the message:
- Email address used to sign in (Google / Apple / Email)
- Your pilot nickname (if you had one)
- Approximate date you last used the app
We will process your request within 30 days (usually within 48 hours).
What gets deleted
Both options permanently remove:
- Your authentication account (Google / Apple / Email)
- Your leaderboard entries (Classic mode + Time Attack mode)
- Your player profile (nickname, avatar)
- Your referral code and invitation history
- Crash reports and analytics events tied to your user ID
- Any locally stored data on your device (if you choose in-app option)
What is kept
The following may be retained in aggregated, anonymized form:
- Anonymous analytics events (no longer tied to you)
- Purchase records (required by tax law, retained by Apple/Google, not by us)
Third-party data
Some of your data may also exist in third-party services:
- Apple App Store / Google Play: purchase history — managed by them, request deletion through your Apple/Google account
- Google AdMob: advertising identifier — reset from your device settings
